Editorial of the Week: World Champion Anaheim Angels

Having grown up in the shadows of Anaheim Stadium from July 2, 1970 to July 5, 1990, I'm pleased as punch to congratulate this gritty and humble bunch of ballplayers for winning the 2002 World Series in dramatic fashion. After eliminating the 134 million dollar Yankees, then surviving the homer hankies in the Metrodome, it was a group of ROOKIE pitchers that finally quieted the dangerous San Francisco Giants' lineup bats in Game 7.

Dusty Baker giving Ortiz the "game ball" in the 7th inning of Game 6: Presumptuous.
Barry Bonds' arrogant EIGHT STEP admiration walk after a home run: Classless.
Little children crying in the Giant dugout after Game 7 (including their kids): Priceless...
